North Fork Vision... a Public School with Educational Choice

North Fork VISION HCP Students have the option of taking online classes through a Cooperative educational alliance with The Laurel Springs School. Laurel Springs offers many options for our students and allows them more oppurtunities to benefit from the educational experience by offering them the acess to many online courses for those tech-savvy students who are self-motivated and interested in virtual learning. The following is some information from the Laurel Springs Website:


Laurel Springs School students will become:

Educated Individuals

They will:

• Address subject-area learning standards including, but not limited to, English/language arts, history/social science, science, math, health, physical education, fine arts, foreign language
• Work toward grade-appropriate learning objectives through the use of appropriate resources and with consideration for learning modalities
• Utilize resources and support provided by teachers and parents

Active Learners

They will:

• Perform independent research
• Pursue self-directed projects using a variety of resources
• Recognize, articulate and implement their own learning styles
• Utilize multimedia resources to demonstrate learning
